The project, which is currently in the works by Williammutazion, will attempt to recreate the game originally released on the SEGA Dreamcast console as a PSX title. While there is clearly a lot of work left to be done, the project definitely seems to be on the right track.
As already mentioned, Resident Evil Code Veronica was originally released on the Dreamcast before getting ported to other consoles. Given how Capcom has been remaking classic entries in the series, it isn’t impossible that a Resident Evil Code Veronica remake will eventually be made, although not in the near future, considering Capcom is apparently working on a Resident Evil 4 Remake that will be revealed soon.
