Space Exploration Technologies Corporation’s (SpaceX) Starlink satellite internet constellation suffered from a global outage earlier today. Starlink uses low Earth orbit (LEO) internet satellites to deliver internet coverage to its users, and the service has managed to expand its presence to countries outside the United States in a short time period. Earlier today, several Starlink users on the social media platform Reddit reported that the service stopped working for them....

The new update, which is only available for the Beta and Preview channels, as it includes features that are still being tested, adds Sucheng (Quick) keyboard for Traditional Chinese and an Achievements page to the overlay. A few issues have also been fixed, as detailed in the update notes: This update is for the Steam Deck Beta and Preview channels, and includes new features that are still being tested. ETA PRIMA shared on their YouTube channel a new video that shows how it is possible to connect an external GPU to the console via the M.2 slot. No NVIDIA GPU seems to work as of now, however, so a Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU has been connected instead. While the Steam Deck’s CPU obviously bottlenecked the powerful RX 6900 XT GPU, the results were still impressive in gaming, as the console is able to run games like The Witcher 3 and Grant Theft Auto V at 4K resolution and decent performance above 60 FPS....

But wait, haven’t we heard about Steam racking up even bigger numbers in in the past? You’re probably thinking about the 30-million milestone broken back in October, but that was for concurrent users. That stat measures anybody who happens to have the Steam client open, whether they’re playing something or not. Still a decent measure of engagement with the platform (Steam surpassed 33 million concurrent users this weekend) but not an accurate accounting of how many people are actually playing games at the moment....

Today’s update not only has new characters but a closed beta update. But one thing at a time. First off, four of Street Fighter’s series veterans, Ken, E. Honda, Dhalsim, and Blanka, were all revealed today, with gameplay to go with them. You can watch their brand-new trailer below. As the name implies, The Division Heartland will take place in a small-town setting, rather than the big cities of past games in the series. The town in question is Silver Creek, with players setting up a Base of Operations inside an abandoned skating rink. As for gameplay, Heartland’s main focus is Storm mode, a PvPvE experience somewhat similar to Escape from Tarkov or perhaps Hunt: Showdown. Players will be tasked with surviving, looting, crafting, and battling both other players and AI enemies before getting to an extraction point....

In this original sci-fi/fantasy world, players must fight to protect the Ingris continent from huge alien invaders. They’ll pick one of ten characters, such as Lepic (a versatile fighter with powerful guns built into his arm), Viessa (a debuffer who freezes enemies by controlling cold air), Bunny (super-quick nuke with electrical attacks), and Ajax (the tank with space-warping skills). According to the press release, grappling hook attacks will allow the removal of body parts....

Plenty of leaks for Naughty Dog’s upcoming remake over the past week, and yesterday, the Sony-owned studio released an official feature and gameplay video, focusing on the visuals enhancements and the remake’s features. Following the release of this video, YouTube channel ‘Analista De Bits’ got to work and managed to compare the included footage from yesterday’s trailer to that of 2014’s PS4 version. I’m sure some will question why The Quarry isn’t just another Dark Pictures games, but I’m guessing it’s largely a question of budget. Based on that fairly impressive cast list (David Arquette, Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Lance Henriksen, Ted Raimi, and more) it seems like 2K is likely spending a lot more on The Quarry than Bandai Namco spends on the Dark Pictures games. In terms of scope, perhaps this is the true successor to Until Dawn fans have been waiting for....

The first of those, Texas, was revealed at the same time, with a brand-new stage coming with him. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (better known as MGM), in the event they wanted to make a sequel, would have had to commit to the project by May 2022 to keep the license. Uber has announced in a newsroom post that it is bringing the new Explore tab to a total of 15 cities at the moment....

The first test session for V Rising will run for one week, giving invited players a chance to build castles, hunt for blood, and explore the gothic world of Vardoran ahead of the game’s Early Access launch. All of this is done with the goal of becoming the next Dracula. Players will need to feed off humans in order to gain new powers and run their castles. The Closed Beta will allow for solo or co-op playthroughs as you fight against bandits, mystical creatures, and the light-wielding Church of Luminance in thrilling skillshot-based combat....
