In its latest financial report, Nintendo confirmed the launch schedule of primary Nintendo products, which includes Nintendo Switch Sports, which launched last month, upcoming games with an announced release date, like Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Xenoblade Chronicles and Splatoon 3, and games that have yet to be dated. Among these are Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Zelda Breath of the Wild sequel, which has been recently delayed to early 2023, and Bayonetta 3, which is still scheduled for a 2022 release....

On both Xbox Series X and PS5, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign offers 4K/60fps as a baseline, although that resolution is arrived at through temporal upscaling (the video doesn’t specify what the native resolution is). At 60fps, both the XSX and PS5 are pretty much a perfect flat line. A 1440p/120fps performance mode is also offered, which is where you start to see more of a difference between Microsoft and Sony’s consoles....

According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who has very reliable record when it comes to Activision, the “premium release” we’ll be getting next year is actually a major expansion to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II developed by Sledgehammer Games. The expansion is said to have “lots of content,” including a continuation of the game’s single-player campaign, so it may end up costing somewhere in the range of a full-price game....

With so much on its plate, Beenox is looking to expand. The studio started in Quebec City, and now, like so many other developers, they’re opening a Montreal location. Beenox currently has 400 employees, with 150 being hired in the last year alone, and they’re looking to bolster their ranks by 20 percent (so, another 80 employees or so). Going forward, the goal is to focus on Call of Duty – specifically more content for Warzone and a new CoD Mobile experience, although other projects may be on the table (Activision obviously likes to keep Beenox busy)....

Apple to Release iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 in December With These Major Features As mentioned earlier, the company has already begun testing iOS 16.2, as the first beta is now available for developers to download on supported devices.
